More on jet lag…

It has been an interesting couple of days. Stella’s adjustment to the time has been difficult to say the least but I think the bigger problem is that we were all sharing a room.

She got up the last few nights when we went to bed and stayed awake for nearly 2 hours (midnight to 2 AM). I even tried feeding her and playing with her last night without any luck. To say that she was “wired” is an understatement. She wanted to be in bed with us if she saw us and then wanted to play…

She also wanted to nurse the entire night which is very taxing on Mommy. The past few days have been a huge incentive to try to start the weaning process…anyone with advice, please pass it along. I do know that traveling, change of time and scenery is not a good combo for weaning so I’m hoping that our 5 weeks in Greece may be a break through!

Today we all finally got a nap (3 hours..) and are off to bed early. Justin and I have moved to the living room so Stella can have her own room and not be woken up. Hopefully tonight will bring us all much needed rest.

On to “unwired…” As many of you know Justin and I live and breath with an internet connection as it “IS” our business. Justin had it all sorted and hooked up the day we arrived but late Thursday night Justin’s lap top completely died. Long story short we drove it to Hammersmith yesterday (right outside of London) and had it looked at…a broken graphic interface…he’s down until late next week. The bright side of all of this is that we will be forced to not do too much work (or rather catch up on the work outside of checking email) until he gets his lap top back.

This trip was basically doable because we could work any time anywhere…when you don’t have your “office” anymore that’s a bit hard to do.

Tomorrow we are excited about our first traditional English Sunday with Stella. Papers in the AM and then off for a nice Sunday roast at the quaint English pub down the street. We may even go for a walking tour along the Thames.

Thanks to everyone who has posted comments and feedback and advice. Much appreciated. Keep them coming. If you are emailing me comments, etc. please post your comment to the blog as it benefits all the readers.
